Who it fits
Good fit for
This chair suits seniors or individuals with limited mobility who need assistance rising from a seated position. The oversized seat width and depth accommodate larger body types comfortably. Users who value targeted heat and vibration for lower back tension will appreciate the independent lumbar heater and four-point massage. If you need convenient storage for remotes and drinks, the built-in pockets and cup holders add practical value to your relaxation routine.
Who should skip it
Skip this model if you require a full-body massage system rather than just lumbar vibration. The heating is limited to the lower back, so it will not warm your legs or upper spine. If you prefer a compact footprint for small rooms, the 33.8-inch width and 35.7-inch length may be too large. Additionally, the massage function only offers vibration, lacking air compression or roller mechanisms found in higher-end massage chairs.
Verdict: The BIGGARSIT Lift Chair 1485 delivers reliable lift assistance and targeted comfort for larger users. Its spec set makes it a practical choice for those prioritizing mobility support and localized heat.
BIGGARSIT Key Specs Explained
Reclining Function: Power lift
This mechanism uses an electric motor to raise the seat and backrest simultaneously. You do not need to push or pull to stand. The system supports your knees and back during the motion. This is essential for users with limited mobility or weak legs. It allows for safe, independent standing without straining joints. Compare this to manual recliners that require physical effort to operate.
Massage Mechanism: 4-point vibration
The chair delivers vibration through four specific points along the back and waist. This feature targets muscle tension in the lumbar and upper back areas. You can adjust the intensity and timer settings for personalized relief. It helps reduce stiffness after sitting for long periods. This type of massage is less complex than airbag systems. It focuses on steady vibration rather than kneading or rolling motions.
Heat Therapy Zones: Lumbar
Heating is located only in the lower back area. You can turn this function on or off independently of the massage. The heat helps soothe sore muscles in the lumbar region. This is useful for users with lower back pain or stiffness. It provides targeted warmth rather than full-body coverage. Check this spec if you need relief in a specific zone rather than overall chair heating.
size: Oversized
This designation indicates a seat wider than standard recliners. The seat measures 23.6 inches wide and 22.9 inches deep. This extra space accommodates larger body types comfortably. You have more room to shift positions without feeling cramped. Standard chairs often feel tight for heavier users. Oversized frames provide better support and reduce pressure on the sides of the hips.
Design and Build Quality
The BIGGARSIT Lift Chair 1485 arrives in a single box. The cushions may look flat initially, but they need about 72 hours to expand fully. You should wait for this recovery period before judging the comfort level. The listing specifies a grey finish, though navy blue and brown options exist. The fabric has a unique texture that is soft to the touch. This material choice aims to balance durability with skin-friendly comfort for daily use.
The chair measures 33.8 inches wide, 41.7 inches high, and 35.7 inches deep. It weighs 94.8 pounds. This substantial weight suggests a stable base for the power lift mechanism. The seat itself is 23.6 inches wide and 22.9 inches deep. This oversized layout provides ample room for larger bodies. The ergonomic lumbar support is thicker to help relieve lower back pressure during long sitting sessions.
Layout features include two front pockets, two side pockets, and two cup holders. These storage points keep remotes and drinks within easy reach. The massage remote includes a built-in USB port for charging devices. This integration allows you to keep your phone powered without leaving your seat. The design prioritizes convenience alongside the electric lift function. You can store essentials without cluttering the surrounding floor space. The overall build focuses on practical accessibility for seniors.
Setup and Everyday Use Guide
The BIGGARSIT Lift Chair 1485 ships in a single box, which simplifies the initial delivery process. You receive illustrated instructions and video guidance to help you assemble the unit. The cushions may appear compressed upon arrival. You should allow approximately 72 hours for the foam to fully expand to its intended thickness. Do not judge the comfort level until this recovery period is complete. Once assembled, the chair requires a standard electrical outlet to operate the power lift mechanism.
Daily use centers on the included massage remote. This controller manages the 4-point vibration massage and the independent lumbar heating function. You can select from five massage modes and adjust the intensity across three levels. The timer settings allow you to choose sessions lasting 10, 20, or 30 minutes. To activate the heat, you simply press the heat button once to turn it on and again to turn it off. The remote also features a built-in USB port, allowing you to charge mobile devices without leaving your seat.
The chair includes practical storage features for everyday convenience. Two front pockets and two side pockets provide space for remotes, magazines, or other small items. Two cup holders are integrated into the design to keep drinks within easy reach. The oversized seat measures 23.6 inches wide and 22.9 inches deep, offering ample room for most users. The fabric texture is designed to be soft and skin-friendly, supporting regular daily use without sacrificing durability.
Before You Buy This Recliner
You should verify your electrical setup before placing this chair. It requires a standard outlet near the unit, as the massage remote includes a built-in USB port for charging devices. Ensure you have enough clearance behind the chair for the power lift mechanism to operate safely. The oversized dimensions mean it needs a spacious room. You must account for the 72-hour expansion period for the cushions after unpacking. Do not judge the comfort level until the foam has fully recovered. This chair fits into the broader category of mobility-focused seating rather than deep-tissue therapeutic massage equipment. It suits you if you prioritize ease of standing and basic lumbar warmth over complex massage programs. Keep the fabric clean with gentle wiping to maintain its skin-friendly texture. Check that the 23.6-inch seat width accommodates your body comfortably. This option is best for those who want simple, electric assistance without intricate controls.
